What the private Perimtr pilot collects, why we need it, and the choices you have.
Perimtr Inc. operates the Perimtr pilot. Our Privacy Lead can be reached at hello@perimtr.ca.
Reports use public, location-based datasets. We do not intentionally collect information about residents of a searched address.
We use this information to provide and secure your account, generate and retain your reports, operate revocable sharing links, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve the pilot. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
The pilot is hosted by Hetzner on infrastructure in Germany. Information may therefore be processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We limit provider access to what is necessary to operate the service.
Perimtr uses necessary cookies for sign-in security, sessions, and form protection. The pilot does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
A sharing link works like a bearer key: anyone who receives the link can view that report without signing in until you revoke it. Do not post a sharing link publicly or send it to anyone who should not see the searched address.
During the pilot, we keep account information and report history while your account remains active or until you request deletion. Revoked sharing records may remain with the report for security and audit purposes. Short-term server logs are rotated for security and troubleshooting. We use access controls, encrypted web connections, password hashing, restricted server access, backups, and revocable sharing tokens; no system can guarantee absolute security.
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw from the pilot, or ask us to delete your account and associated reports, subject to limited legal or security retention needs. Contact hello@perimtr.ca. We will verify the request before acting.
The pilot is intended for adults and is not directed to children. If this policy changes materially, we will place a clear notice in the service and update the effective date before the change applies.
